Full Description

If you have already completed your PADI Open Water Diver certification, the Advanced Open Water Diver course is the perfect way to continue your underwater journey. This course is designed to refine your diving techniques, build confidence, and introduce you to a variety of exciting specialty dives under the close supervision of our experienced PADI instructors.

Who can join

The course is open to any certified Open Water Diver, regardless of experience level. Whether you are newly certified or have been diving for years, this program will help you expand your abilities, improve your buoyancy, and increase your comfort when exploring new underwater landscapes.

What you will learn

Two core dives form the foundation of your certification. The Deep Dive, reaching depths of up to 30 meters (100 ft), teaches you how to plan and manage dives at greater depths while understanding the physiological effects and safety considerations. The Underwater Navigation dive enhances your compass use, improves your ability to navigate by natural landmarks, and helps you maintain precision through kick cycles and time tracking.

Personalized adventure dives

Beyond the two required dives, you will select three additional adventure dives that match your interests. Many students enjoy exploring the famous Wreck Monica, improving buoyancy control, learning to identify Caribbean marine species, mastering boat diving entries, or practicing underwater photography. Others train with enriched air nitrox to extend their time at depth.

The benefits of advanced certification

Completing this course will not only make you a more competent diver but also open the doors to new and exciting dive sites worldwide. You will gain the skills and confidence to handle a variety of conditions, improve your safety awareness, and enjoy more rewarding dive experiences. This training also provides a strong foundation for future certifications such as Rescue Diver or Divemaster.
